“This Child must know that he/she is a miracle, that since the beginning of the world, there hasn’t been, and until the end of the world there will not be, another child like him/her” ——— Pablo Casals
I thank and praise the Almighty as we begin the new Academic Year 2019-2020. A warm welcome to every student of St. Xavier’s, freshers and Seniors. Each one of you I believe is a God’s Gift to this institution. St. Xavier’s College have always strived through collaborative approach to provide holistic education through loving care, compassionate concernand understanding.
I hope that the students’ purpose of joining this institution is not only to achieve excellence in education but all round education that will transform them into disciplined citizens with high emotional and spiritual quotients as well.
I would expect every student to have trust in the Lord, make the best of the opportunities offered at this institution, put in hard work, be self-disciplined and succeed in achieving all their dreams.
Teachers help in nurturing and shaping the personality of a student. A Good Teacher is a Happy Teacher. They are the role models for the students. A word of appreciation to our teaching and non-teaching staff for their cooperation and dedicated services towards this institution. I firmly believe in what our Holy Father Pope Francis said “communion wins over Divisions”. Let us continue to work unitedly so that we may be able to attain even greater heights in the near future, for together we progress. May Almighty bless you and your families.
This year is crucial one for us for two reasons: First, we have Honours Degrees in specific subjects under the Choice Based Credit System. Secondly, The Visit of the National Assessment and Accreditation Committee (NAAC). May we be blessed with a grade that will make every Xavierite feel proud to be a Xavierite.
I would also like to appreciate the support and concern of PTA, Alumni, Parents, Well-wishers and all other stakeholders towards this institution.
A word of appreciation to the Central and State Government of Goa and University Grants Commission (UGC) for the financial assistance that enables the institution serve the society and the nation.
May almighty bless the Diocesan Society of Education (DSE) with many fruitful years in the field of education.
I sincerely thank the Management, Past Principals, Teaching faculty, Non-teaching staff and students for their support to Xavierian family for the past academic years. May our Patron Saint St. Francis Xavier intercede on our behalf and may God shower His choicest blessings on each one of us during this new academic year 2019-2020.
