St. Xavier’s College is at the fore-front with an aim to provide a technologically up- to-date learning environment that supports holistic and self-paced, individualized education for students. The faculty and students of the institution have implemented and are using Microsoft Education Solutions(EduCloud with Imagine Academy) making it easier for the teachers, students, and administrators to access the information and features they need to succeed in their roles.
Today’s students are social learners. Today’s workplaces are social spaces. St. Xavier’s College has taken the services of Juana Technologies Private Limited (Delhi), an EdTech Services and Solutions organization with alliance partnership with Microsoft Inc. With achieved Microsoft competencies as an Authorized Education Partner (AEP), a GOLD Cloud Solutions Partner (CSP) and a Global Learning Partner they have deployed Microsoft Office 365 Cloud Services, for Productivity, Microsoft Imagine Academy for Students and Faculty Certification, Microsoft Azure for Education for Cloud Services and Intune for Education for Device Management. Every faculty and student is provided with an institutional email id.
Since the start of the calendar year 2020, and especially during the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown, St. Xavier’s College (Goa) has conducted Faculty Professional Development Programs with Trainings on Microsoft Teams which provides faculty and students a hub to meet virtually for class or study groups, to view course lectures and resources, and to work collectively or individually on assignments and projects. Microsoft Stream, also part of Microsoft Teams, allows faculty and students to create videos and recordings and house them in channels to play on demand. The trainings were conducted and organized by Juana Technologies Private Limited (Delhi). Besides this, our faculty has also upgraded their knowledge on technologies and many have achieved Microsoft certifications. A number of webinars were conducted by the faculty from various departments for the benefit of students and teachers. Microsoft Educational programs are also available for faculty and students. Our faculty also use Moodle, a Learning Management System, which delivers a powerful set of learner-centric tools and collaborative learning environments that empower both teaching and learning. Moodle is integrated with Microsoft OneNote and digital note taking app.
