Mission: To provide a well-rounded, high quality educational environment in computer science and to instill in students the attitudes and values, that will prepare them for productive and challenging careers.

The department has full-fledged, well-equipped laboratories, with online UPS support and internet connectivity. It has Microsoft Open Value Subscription Education Solutions and popular LINUX distros installed. Guest speakers from industries and other organizations are invited to speak to the students on various new technologies. Training Programmes/Workshops are conducted for students on Web Technologies, Mobile Technologies, Content Management Systems, Team Development Software`s, Internet of Things, etc. Videos, MOOCs are used for training in various technologies. The department has consistently striven to encourage the use of Learning Management System-Moodle, to create quality online course material and thus organize and manage the teaching learning process.

The job prospects after completing this course are numerous. Students graduating from this department are either pursuing further their studies or are placed in well- known software companies, hotel industries and academic institutions among others. Students can take up employment as Database Administrators, Network Administrators, Computer Scientists, Computer Consultants, Systems Analysts, Software Engineers, Computer Programmers, Web Developers, Graphics Designers, Technical Writers, Desktop Publishers, etc.
