St. Xavier's Girls team has retained the University Basketball
championship.
In the finals played at PCCE Grounds Verna the college
girls thrashed their rivals Dhempe College Panjim 20-3 in the finals. Michelle Fernandes (8 pts), Lovena Pinto (4 pts), Mysha D’Souza (3 pts), Leona Fernandes
(2 pts) and
Alisha D’Mello (2 pts) converted for the winners.
The chief guest on the occasion, Alex Sequeira, Minister for Power, awarded medals
and trophies to the winners and runners-up.
