On behalf of teaching staff  Dr. Oscar De Melo of Department of Commerce delivered words of wisdom to the outgoing students. He said that now is the real commencement of education for them as they are now going out of the classroom lectures and will be facing the real world. It’s time for the students to identify question and answer them by themselves. He asked students to reach their greatest and also mentioned that the greatness is not for the chosen few but it is for all. He gave five rules to achieve greatness.

  1. Growth means the end of comfort zone. We all are created to fly and have every potential to achieve it. But we tend to cling to our comfort zone and remain undiscovered. We should neither aim too high nor fix it too low.
  2. To be ambitious. For this you need to be surrounded by ambitious people.
  3. Be a man with principles of value. It is important to know how well we serve rather than how many you serve.
  4. Reach for greatness. He asked students to raise their standards, be committed and consistent in their performance. He asked then to follow rituals by waking up early in the morning, reading at least 12 books in a year and move with winners or champions.
  5. Pray to reach to the top and remember that pushing is in your hands and to move is not in your hands.

He motivated students by sharing his own experience in life and wished them good luck.

This was followed by a group song “If I see you again” performed by undergraduate students.

The best library awards were presented to two final year students Miss. Priya Joshi of TY BA and Mr Leo D’Souza of TY B Sc. Miss Shasha D’Souza presented a melodious song “Never Enough”.. Thus, an environment of enthusiasm was experienced by every student and a memorable event came to end with the college anthem sung by all.
