St. Xavier’s College to organize it’s Cultural Inaugural on the 27th of July

St. Xavier’s College will be holding it’s Cultural Inaugural on 27th July 2018. The newly formed Students Council will be formally installed in the presence of Fr. (Dr.) Jeronimo D’Silva (Principal), Fr. Zeferino D’Souza (Administrator), Dr. Blanche Mascarenhas & Dr. Maria Fonseca (Vice Principals), Mr. Caje Francis Pinto (Cultural Coordinator), members of the Cultural Committee, other dignitaries, staff and students of the college.

The programme will begin on an auspicious note by invoking God’s blessings (to be handled  by the AICUF & Youth Cell), followed by the lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries. During the Investiture ceremony The Oath of Allegiance will be administered to the elected members of the Council who will then be entrusted with various posts to take active role in college functioning as well as execute other duties for the forthcoming academic year 2018-2019.

The formal inaugural will be followed by a variety entertainment programme wherein the different Clubs and Cells of the college will showcase their talents and creative skills.  The array of items on display will include a group dance by the Go Green Iniatives & Cell for Digital Literacy, Indian Folk Dance by Goenchi Asmitai & Bharthiya Sanskruti Manch, Acapella by the Centre for Performing Arts, a Konkani Skit by the Child, Women & Consumer Welfare Club, a Portuguese Song by the Global Village Club & Community Care Club and a Short film by the Cell for Visual Arts.
